This study evaluates countries with pleasant climates for their suitability as wedding destinations through an analysis of climatic and tourism infrastructure characteristics.

  • Countries were selected from U.S. News' pleasant climate country ranking.
  • The index analyzed five-star hotels per 10,000 sq km, median five-star hotel cost, annual average temperature, yearly sunshine hours, and wedding search volume.
  • Hotel costs reflect the median price of a one-night five-star hotel stay for June 2025. Adjustments were made for Sweden, Slovenia, Norway, and the Czech Republic due to data limitations.
  • Temperature scoring focused on the 15°C to 24°C comfort range, considered ideal for wedding events.
  • Search volume used terms such as "[country] wedding" and "[country] wedding destinations", normalized per 1 million internet users.
  • Countries in travel restriction levels 3, 4, and Others were excluded from the ranking.
